Sister Wives star Janelle Brown has been living a more fulfilling life in the wake of tragedy, and chose to swap out the traditional Fourth of July celebration for some family time in Yellowstone. Janelle, who was married to Kody Brown for over 30 years before their split in late 2022, has been doing everything she can to live a happy, fulfilling life after the tragic death of her son Garrison Brown. Garrison, who passed away in early 2024, was part of the large, plural family that has been documented on Sister Wives for the last few decades.
In a recent post on Janelle’s Instagram, she shared a beautiful photo of herself and her daughters, celebrating the Fourth Of July holiday in Yellowstone rather than partaking in more traditional festivities for the day.
“We spent all day in Yellowstone Park yesterday. It was very cool weather with lots of rain. We saw several bears which was a first for me. Lots of Bison and some Elk,” Janelle explained in her caption, with a photo of herself sandwiched between her daughters Savanah Brown and Madison Brush in a lush forest. Janelle has been spending tons of time with her kids recently.

Janelle Went To Yellowstone With Her Daughters
Janelle’s trip to Yellowstone was documented in a few different Instagram posts, and featured her daughters Savanah and Madison, along with many others from the Brown family. Having shared another post days prior with Christine Brown, David Woolley, and some of the children from the family including Christine’s daughters Aspyn Thompson and Gwendlyn Brown, and Leon Brown, Meri’s child, with their partner Audrey Kriss. The family has been exponentially closer in the wake of Garrison’s passing, and their trip together is a nice reminder of the way things were before Sister Wives was such a big part of their lives.
While Janelle has been working hard to keep Garrison’s memory alive, she’s also been fostering the relationships she has with her other children throughout this difficult time. Heading out to Yellowstone with her daughters Savanah and Maddie, who are 19 and 28 years old respectively, Janelle is doing the right thing for herself and her family. On her social media accounts, Janelle has been documenting tons of her travels, ensuring that her family is involved in as much as possible. Having been to Disneyland, North Carolina, and Las Vegas in recent months, Janelle has been dividing her time up evenly.
As Janelle continues to maintain her relationships with her children, it’s clear that Sister Wives season 19 will show an entirely new side to the Brown family as a whole.
